You may have studied a good deal of building information recently if you are contemplating an all-steel building purchase. Maybe you’ve seen advertising on television or on the Internet or heard radio commercials. Many ads pronounce, “Act now!”� or “Lowest priced steel buildings!”� Are these deals worth considering or are they rip offs

There are high grade all-steel structures priced fairly and available from very reputable steel structure manufacturers and suppliers ““ frequently at a fraction of the price of a more standard building. The cut-rate “economy”� steel buildings are most often constructed of substantially lower caliber steel. Professional quality pre-engineered steel systems use durable 26 gauge steel. “Economy”� structure systems use lightweight 29 gauge steel, which is not of sufficient thickness, particularly if the building will shelter people. Buildings made of lower density steel frequently have many more maintenance problem than 26 gauge steel structures.  

Quonset huts are often inferior structures, as the HVAC costs over their serviceable life make this “low price”� structure a very pricey acquisition. Alternatively, the additional cost of insulating such structures can be daunting, and raise the total price of the Quonset hut way beyond an affordable level.

To determine the right all-steel building system might be compared to a medical procedure that you may face. Would you choose the most inexpensive surgeon or one who will successfully complete the operation in a professional manner Likewise, if you would rather have superiority that results in success, then choose the best steel structure manufacturer that your budget allows. That company will take you from design to final rigging, with no surprise “brokering”� expenses. There is no need to deal with different suppliers for various building components, which can raise the risk of scheduling delays.
Consider only premium quality materials. These manufacturers may not offer the “lowest price!”�  ““ but they will offer best value for a quality product.
